Zombie Toss: Create A Plants VS Zombies Inspired Halloween Game + Links to FREE Printables!

This year, for some fun this Halloween season, I made this game that me and Lauren played inspired and involving characters from the popular tower defense game "Plants VS Zombies". I call this game "zombie toss", I use a small empty cardboard box to create a zombie head that will be used to toss onto the plant characters. I used small disposable cups as stand of the plant characters. The cups hold prizes inside them that anyone can get from knocking down any of the plant characters. ABOUT THIS GAME I was thinking about Halloween themes for a DIY I could do this year just to enjoy the Halloween season and I remember "Plants VS Zombies", I have been playing this game on the computer in the past and it's one of the games I reall

Animal Art | Bear Theme: Easy Grizzly Bear Drawing Out Of Circles

5-10-2017 -- In this post, I will be sharing a "bear" art idea. This was an art project that Lauren did in Brightly Beaming Resources' (Step 3: Sound of the Week) home school curriculum for the "zz" sound as in "grizzly". She is going to do some drawing, I want to make this simple for her so I thought about making a grizzly bear by tracing or using together different sizes of circles to create the whole grizzly bear.

=================================================================READY FOR KID BEFORE STARTING ACTIVITY ALONG WITH OTHER MATERIALS:
=================================================================

* Different sizes of round objects. These objects will be used to trace and make out a whole grizzly bear on a bond paper or construction paper. You can use any round objects you can find around you such as coins, jar lids, saucer, etc.

- For Bear Head: Medium Size Round Lid Cover or object

- For Bear Body: Larger Size Round Lid Cover or object

- For Bear Ears: Round object smaller than the head and another smaller round object to trace inside main ear circle.

- For Bear Eyes: A large coin and another smaller coin to trace inside main eye circles.

- For Bear Mouth & Nose: A Round Lid Cover or object that is smaller than the bear's head and a large coin for the bear nose.

- For Bear Body: A Large Round Plate or any round object larger than the head.

- For Bear Hands: A round object smaller than head but bigger than ears.

- For Bear Feet: A round object bigger than hands, another smaller round object to trace inside main feet circle and a small coin for the toe circles.

=================================================================STEPS IN DOING THIS BEAR ART:
=================================================================

1. Let the child take the medium sized round lid cover or object to trace on a bond paper and create the head of the bear. Guide the child how to trace half of the circle to create the ears or just allow them to trace everything and erase the other parts later. Allow the child to do the same process using different sizes of round objects to create the other parts until she creates a whole bear out of it.

2. Next, let the child add some details on the hands and feet by drawing some triangles to create the bear's sharp claws or nails. Afterwards, they may draw any background of choice around the bear aside from what is seen in our sample.

3. After creating the whole bear and drawing the details, let the child now trace the pencil with a coloring marker or pentel pen marker, they can use black or try any color that they wish to use.

4. After tracing the bear and details with coloring marker, it is now time to color it. Your kid can use any kind of coloring medium apart from crayons, such as colored pencils or oil pastel colors.

5. And that's it the "circles grizzly bear" is DONE. Below is Lauren's version of this circles grizzly bear art.
