Zombie Toss: Create A Plants VS Zombies Inspired Halloween Game + Links to FREE Printables!

This year, for some fun this Halloween season, I made this game that me and Lauren played inspired and involving characters from the popular tower defense game "Plants VS Zombies". I call this game "zombie toss", I use a small empty cardboard box to create a zombie head that will be used to toss onto the plant characters. I used small disposable cups as stand of the plant characters. The cups hold prizes inside them that anyone can get from knocking down any of the plant characters. Paper Dolls

12-3-2015 -- This was an art project that Lauren did in Brightly Beaming Resources' (Step 2: Letter of the Week) homeschool curriculum for the "p" sound as in "paper", she is going to make "paper dolls(as you can see the photo of the finished dolls she has done below)

I did a search for some ideas on how to make a paper doll and found this "Paper Doll Party" craft from thepartyanimal-blog.org. I like this version of making a paper doll it's different from most paper dolls out there as it is big and the base is made of jumbo craft sticks. It looks really fun and interesting to make. Since I cannot find any plain jumbo craft sticks in the store, I just bought the colored ones instead. The colored sticks for the arm are like the long sleeves of the dress and the colored sticks for the legs are like the leggings of the dolls. Lauren made 3 kinds of dolls: African, Asian, and Caucasian dolls. I think it's fun and colorful to look at different kinds of dolls when done. I searched for  "hands" and "boots" template. I used these templates as a guide to trace on different colors of construction papers. I cut all the hands and boots pattern and had them ready and prepared for Lauren to glue on the dolls.

Lauren added some nails on the fingers and she draws the designs on the boots and dresses and the look of the dolls.

Lauren's finished paper dolls looked really colorful and fun. I think this is really a cute paper doll idea and craft activity for kids to try. Kid's can get creative in drawing the look and making the designs on their dolls. Afterwards, they'll also have more fun playing with it as it is huge and has an extra stick from the back for them to be able hold the doll properly and easily.
