Zombie Toss: Create A Plants VS Zombies Inspired Halloween Game + Links to FREE Printables!

This year, for some fun this Halloween season, I made this game that me and Lauren played inspired and involving characters from the popular tower defense game "Plants VS Zombies". I call this game "zombie toss", I use a small empty cardboard box to create a zombie head that will be used to toss onto the plant characters. I used small disposable cups as stand of the plant characters. The cups hold prizes inside them that anyone can get from knocking down any of the plant characters. Flower Craft: Tulip Theme | Plastic Egg Tray Tulip Flowers | Home Learning Art & Craft Project Activity

In this post, I will be sharing a "tulip" craft using this white plastic egg tray or container. This was an art project that Lauren did in Brightly Beaming Resources' (Step 2: Letter of the Week) home school curriculum for the "t" sound as in "tulip".

The eggs in the supermarket here are mostly stored in these egg trays in a white plastic type material, I have kept lots of these trays for use in making art projects. Lauren also made a vase along with the tulip flowers using disposable styro cups.

STEPS IN CREATING THIS FLOWER CRAFT

STEP #1: Let child paint tulip-shaped egg holders & disposable cup vase with any color of choice. We used acrylic paint as this is the type of paint that sticks to this type of plastic material, it doesn't wear or peel off when it dries. Set aside painted pieces to dry.

STEP #2: Once tulip-shaped egg holders are dry, let child glue circles in the middle of each tulip to create the flower centerpiece.

STEP #3: Next, let child glue green fuzzy wires at the bottom of each tulips using hot glue. Put hot glue on the spot and let child glue fuzzy wire on it. Make sure not to add too much hot glue to avoid plastic from melting. We didn't have any fuzzy wires at the time Lauren made this project, so I had white drinking straws as stems for our tulips. I added steel wires inside each straw to make them bendable, Lauren painted each straw with green paint.

STEP #4: Next, let child cover the mouth of the disposable cup vase with the round cover pattern made earlier using hot glue. Put hot glue around disposable cup mouth and let child glue cover pattern on it. After covering disposable cup's mouth, invert the cup then fill the cup with something that can hold or balance the tulips together when it will be inserted into the vase, you may try rice, some sand, etc.

STEP #5: Next, let child insert the tulips into the cup then let child glue some leaves on the stems. Arrange the flowers by bending the fuzzy wire stems in any direction you want.

And there goes your "PLASTIC EGG TRAY TULIP FLOWERS". They look very colorful and you can put them as a decoration anywhere in a room or on top of a table. If you have this kind of egg tray in a white plastic material, why not get creative with your own version of this tulip craft today!
