Zombie Toss: Create A Plants VS Zombies Inspired Halloween Game + Links to FREE Printables!

This year, for some fun this Halloween season, I made this game that me and Lauren played inspired and involving characters from the popular tower defense game "Plants VS Zombies". I call this game "zombie toss", I use a small empty cardboard box to create a zombie head that will be used to toss onto the plant characters. I used small disposable cups as stand of the plant characters. The cups hold prizes inside them that anyone can get from knocking down any of the plant characters. The stamp patterns element was adapted from an art idea I saw but we incorporated all kinds of shapes aside from circles using hollow objects and color inside the shapes using oil pastel colors. Lauren made 3 umbrellas with different shapes and colors as designs on them.

STEPS IN MAKING THIS UMBRELLA CRAFT

STEP #1: Let child press a bottle mouth, cap or any hollow shape object (star, oval, triangle, square, flower, etc.) on a stamp pad or pour poster paint on a disposable or unused plastic saucer, they may use black or any color of paint they prefer then stamp the object on the umbrella template to create several design patterns on it. They may combine different shapes in one umbrella or do the same shapes together. Set aside template to dry.

STEP #2: Once stamped patterns are dry, cut the umbrella template and let child color inside the stamped patterns using crayon or oil pastel colors.

STEP #3: After coloring, let child attach a colored craft stick from the back of the umbrella with scotch tape to create the umbrella stick. Afterwards, let child glue the umbrella holder pattern below the stick.
