This was a suggested art project that Lauren did in Brightly Beaming Resources' (Step 2: Letter of the Week) home school curriculum for the "d" sound as in "dot". This is the first time that Lauren used this kind of art material, it will definitely be useful as a tool for creating all sorts of craft and art activities later.

CREATING PATTERNS ON PAPER WITH DOT MARKERS
Lauren made dots in the shape of flowers, hearts, butterflies, and circles on a craft paper. You may freely allow your child to dot any design or pattern of choice on paper or lightly draw shapes and objects on the paper and let child form it by dotting the drawn outlines with dot markers.
This may look like a simple or ordinary activity for kids but it teaches them to be imaginative in creating all sorts of design they want and have in mind using the dot markers.
IDEAS FOR REUSING THE PAPERS WITH DOT MARKER PATTERNS
Don't discard that papers after the kids are done with their activity. An idea pointed out and suggested from "Brightly Beaming Resources" here is you may reuse the paper in this activity as a gift wrapper. Aside from that you can use it as a wrapping paper on anything you wish to wrap such as a kid's small notebook, a small box or container, etc.
Simple dotting down of different colors using these dot markers all around the paper can make for a simple but colorful dotted paper design as an outcome.
LET THE KIDS GET CREATIVE WITH SOME DOT MARKERS & CRAFT PAPERS!
This is definitely a nice art activity for kids to try if they haven't yet, they will have fun pressing down the dot markers at the same time be able to do their own patterns on a sheet of paper.
I tried using the papers to wrap a small box like a gift, it looks really nice and unique as a wrapping paper. Your kids will be happy and proud to see that the wrapper used to wrap a gift, a notebook or maybe some containers used to hold something was personally made by them.
CREATE YOUR OWN DOT PICTURES WITH FREE PRINTABLE DOT COLORING PAGES!
Aside from freely creating dot patterns on paper, kids can also use this art material to form or color a picture using FREE printable dot coloring pages such as these ones seen in the collage image below.

Print FREE printables for home DIYs and more! I'm using "HP Ink Tank 115" single function inkjet printer in printing templates and printables, I bought it online at shopee.ph. It is a quality and low-cost printer for home printing that uses tank for the ink.
It needs a total of 4 ink bottles (CMYK) to refill the tank, you can save even more by refilling with universal ink. Just make sure the ink is compatible with the printer model before deciding on a purchase.
