Most people love and enjoy this beverage, it's delicious, you can make it with fruits, vegetables, milk and ice cream. Sometimes we order fruit shakes when we are at the restaurant but we have never really tried doing one at home. Recently, I thought about doing some milkshakes for Valentines, this basic recipe I found does not use ice cream but only milk and you can also turn it into a Valentine milkshake by blending in red colored fruits like strawberries, cherries, cranberries, raspberries, etc. whichever you like or make it chocolate by adding in some cocoa powder.

GET CREATIVE WITH YOUR VALENTINE MILKSHAKE
This milkshake is simple, Click Here For The Vanilla Milkshake Without Ice Cream Recipe you only need some ice cubes, milk, white sugar and vanilla extract plus optional cocoa powder if you want it chocolate or any red fruits: fresh, canned or frozen if you want it red or pink and in Valentine color. You can top it with some marshmallows or whipped cream and decorate or garnish it with Valentine colored sprinkles, mini cookies, pretzels, wafer sticks or biscuits, chocolate bars, sliced red fruits, etc. DECORATING THE MILKSHAKE
We made ours a simple vanilla milkshake, topped with two-toned (pink & white) marshmallows and garnished with red & white candy sprinkles, pretzel sticks and mini oreos. You can also decorate the rims of your glasses by dipping it in melted white chocolate then into some sprinkles, Click Here For 4 Ways To Melt White Chocolate leave the glasses to set slightly before adding in the milkshake.
You can use mini marshmallows as additional toppings or whipped cream if you like. There were no mini marshmallows in the supermarket as we buy our ingredients for our milkshake so we took the large marshmallows instead and simply cut them into smaller pieces using a scissor. If you can find those marshmallows in multicolor especially with pink ones, the better. Our marshmallows are those white ones with pink paw prints in them, when we cut it, it looks two-toned (pink and white in one).
PROCESSING THE MILKSHAKE
The recipe can make 4 glasses of milkshake, it suggests 12 ice cubes for 2 cups of milk but we make it about 18 to 20 or more ice cubes if you want the shake to come out thicker for 1 cup of milk or half of the recipe. We didn't have an ice cube tray so we simply cut our ice that were made in plastic ice bags into smaller pieces. You can use blender or multi-function food processor, ours was a small and simple food processor with a single blade that can crush & chop anything from ice, nuts, meat, fruits, vegetables, etc. into pieces. I bought it for a cheap price @ shopee.ph and I've been using it for 5 years now. Check Out "Food Processors" including like the one I'm using @ shopee.ph
AMOUNT OF SUGAR FOR THIS MILKSHAKE
We used non fat milk, you can use fresh milk, low fat milk or any regular milk you prefer in carton packaging. The recipe suggest 3/4 cups of white sugar for 2 cups of milk and I think that is too much, we made ours 2 tablespoons of sugar for 1 cup of milk and it was just lightly sweet or if you add in sweet ripe fruits you can omit the sugar or add less sugar.
CONSUMING THIS MILKSHAKE
This milkshake is best consumed immediately when served. You can consume it with a straw, with a spoon or by sipping directly from the glass when the ice is still thick. This is a good alternative if you want to make some milkshake and you don't have any ice cream or want to skip ice cream.
Try and get creative with your own milkshake at home for Valentines, make it look colorful and into the LOVE season for less!
