Happy Birthday Lauren! This year, I made a simple DIY for Lauren's birthday with elements and colors inspired by winter and Disney's "Frozen" snow queen character Elsa. I had paper icicles, snowflakes and a DIY bracket shaped paper tarpaulin-like birthday banner as decorations on the backdrop.

I also put up a simple winter inspired birthday table, I don't have table cloth in the theme color so I simply cover the top of a medium sized foldable table with white cartolina paper and plastic cover. I created a table skirt using peacock blue and sky blue crepe papers then taped it all around covering the sides of the table. I added a snowflake banner with the name "LAUREN" in it in front of the table.

To decorate my backdrop, I hang small and large paper
snowflakes from the top, Click Here To Check Out 12 FREE Large Fold & Cut Paper Snowflake Templates I used, they're easy to cut and great to use as hanging or wall decorations for Christmas or a winter theme party. After hanging the snowflakes, I added paper icicles to cover the visible strings of my hanging snowflakes at the top of my backdrop, Click Here To Check Out The Icicle Template I used. DIY WINTER INSPIRED PAPER TARPAULIN-LIKE BIRTHDAY BANNER
For a "happy birthday" banner, I made it in a bracket shape. It is just like a store bought, small birthday tarpaulin banner but the difference is it is in bracket shape and is made of cardboard and paper.
DIY CREPE PAPER TABLE SKIRT
Since I don't have a table cloth, I used white cartolina paper to cover the top of my table then cover it with plastic cover. I created a table skirt using crepe papers to hang all around the sides of the table. The method I used to create this crepe paper table skirt is the same method I used to create my crepe paper backdrop curtain, you can also try this crepe paper table skirt to hang around the sides of a plain table cloth.

Create your own easy snowballs as treats to give out to kids. I made these "snowball" treats using large marshmallows, we didn't have a big party but just a small get together with family so these marshmallow snowballs are made to add to and spiced up our winter inspired birthday table. I put my marshmallow snowballs in these 3.5 oz sized disposable cups, I made the cup wrappers using the template of a printable coffee sleeve. Click here To Check Out The FREE Printable "Coffee Sleeve" Template I used, scale the template at 83 in the printing settings so it fits perfectly around a 3.5 oz disposable cup.
For Personal Use OnlyI used the large marshmallows for my snowballs but you can also have the regular sized one and just put them in small clear plastic bags then tie the bags with paper twine. Put the bags inside the cups or you may put the marshmallows directly into the cups then cover the whole cups with white water cellophane then tie the cellophane with paper twine. Below is a sample snowballs treat cup I put together using the printable labels and digital papers I shared above.

I printed mine using white vellum board or you can use glossy type of paper, I secure the ends of the labels using scotch tape. I made some treat bags to store some treats for Lauren and her cousins. I had the colors blue and gray for it, I used the pattern of a ready made treat bag and traced a snowflake pattern at the front portion of the bags. I made a snowflake window design by cutting the traced snowflake on the bags with utility knife and cover it with white water cellophane so some of the contents of the bag are visible through the window opening.

EASY DIY SNOW QUEEN CROWN & SCEPTER PHOTO PROP + LINKS TO FREE PRINTABLES
I made a snow queen crown and scepter as photo props for the birthday celebrant, I used a printable "frozen princess Elsa crown", Click Here To Check Out FROZEN Princess Crown Templates. There are 3 colored crown templates: pink, blue, and gold and 1 blank crown template that you can paint yourself with any color of choice. I used the colored template in blue color, I additionally brushed "silver" glitter glue all over it to make the crown somewhat sparkly and glittery. I made my own version of a "snow queen" crown, I cut the oval in the middle of the original template and replaced it with a snowflake pattern. I used turquoise and light blue sticker gems to decorate the crown.
For the scepter, I print and cut a snowflake pattern then glue them back to back, I decorated it with sticker gems that I also used to decorate the crown. I used barbecue stick for the handle and wrap it with silver aluminum paper, I added a light blue fuzzy wire wrap around in a spiral of the scepter's handle. Wavy dark and light blue fuzzy wires are added as details below the snowflake scepter.

EASY CLOTHING IDEAS
Lauren wore clothes with colors related to the theme. She wore a white blouse paired with a light blue pleated skirt, I added a gray belt around the waist to complete the look.
Her hair was done in a braid like Elsa and she wore a headband with a large blue flower on it. You may choose clothing with similar colors or look as "snow queen" Elsa's dress or try putting together any clothing in colors related to winter.
SNOWFLAKE & DISNEY FROZEN BALLOONS
We had some balloons as picture props, I used plain dark blue and gray balloons mixed with light blue balloons in snowflake prints. I wanted to add a balloon with a "happy birthday" print on it but I couldn't find any in stores near me in the colors related to the theme. I put the balloons in sticks and I added some strips of crepe papers hanging around the stick holders.
And there goes my version of a simple but creative "winter, snow queen" inspired birthday. It was indeed a fun and memorable birthday for Lauren that we can look back to in the years to come.
