It is just like a store bought, small birthday tarpaulin banner but the difference is it is in bracket shape and is made of cardboard and paper. You can recycle cardboard from large empty boxes or use illustration board as base for this kind of banner. I've seen this bracket banners in most "frozen" theme birthdays, I tried creating my own version of it using cardboard at the base and this is the result.

HOW TO CREATE A PAPER TARPAULIN-LIKE BIRTHDAY BANNER

STEP #1: I used a bracket shape for my banner, I just draw mine. It's hard to get the uniform proportion for all sides of the bracket if you don't have a template but if you want to try creating your own paper tarpaulin-like banner, you may do one in a rectangular shape. You can use 1/4 sized illustration board which is the size that is just right or recycle an empty box cardboard.

STEP #2: Cut then glue a cartolina paper in any shade of choice in the winter color palette or you may use snowflakes pattern paper on top of the illustration board, next decorate paper banner as you wish, you may decorate it with the name of the celebrant or add a birthday greeting word on it. Click Here To Check Out FREE Printable Easy Cut Letters and Click Here To Check Out FREE Printable Easy Cut Numbers to use in your banner.

STEP #3: Spice up your banner by adding designs such as snowflakes or Disney FROZEN's "Elsa" the snow queen character and some birthday elements such as balloons, buntings, birthday hats, etc. You may cut tiny buntings in any shape of choice or balloons in circle or oval shapes using pattern papers or construction papers in winter colors. I have put together a variety of Elsa characters in one PDF that you can use, click on the links below to check it out.

Print it on a sticker paper or on a bond paper, cut and stick directly or if your not using sticker paper glue on your banner using solid glue stick. You may scale the characters to your desired size in the printing settings before printing.

STEP #4: Sew a thick thread at the top of your banner from the back to the front on both ends or sides of the upper part of the banner to create balance as you will hang it. You may add a small hook from the top of your backdrop and hang or tie the end of the banner string on it to ensure that the banner is secure and won't fall or get detached easily from being hanged.
