Zombie Toss: Create A Plants VS Zombies Inspired Halloween Game + Links to FREE Printables!

This year, for some fun this Halloween season, I made this game that me and Lauren played inspired and involving characters from the popular tower defense game "Plants VS Zombies". I call this game "zombie toss", I use a small empty cardboard box to create a zombie head that will be used to toss onto the plant characters. I used small disposable cups as stand of the plant characters. The cups hold prizes inside them that anyone can get from knocking down any of the plant characters. Snail Craft: Snail Out Of Disposable Cup Lid | Home Learning Art & Craft Project Activity

In this post, I will be sharing a "snail" craft. This was a craft project that Lauren did in Brightly Beaming Resources' (Step 3: Sound of the Week) homeschool curriculum for the "ai" sound as in "snail". I thought about using a disposable cup lid for the snail's shell then cover it with different colors of hole punched construction papers, a swirl of yarn is added in the middle for the shell design.

STEP #2: Next, let child glue the googly eyes onto the eye circle patterns using hot glue. You may get creative with the eyes and use different types of colors of googly eyes.

STEP #3: Next, let child glue sticks at the back of the eye circles then glue the eye sticks at the back of the snail head pattern using hot glue (with supervision).

STEP #4: They may leave the head it as it is or let child add a small piece of mouth on their snail. Cut a small piece of yarn in any color of choice and let child glue it with liquid glue just below the eyes to create snail's mouth.

STEP #5: Next, let child spread liquid glue in the middle of the disposable cup lid and sprinkle the dots of hole punched construction papers on it.

STEP #6: Next, cut a strand of yarn in any color of choice and let child glue it in a swirl in the middle of the lid.

STEP #7 Finally, let child glue the lid to the body of the snail using hot glue. Put hot glue on the spot and let child glue lid on it.
