Natrue Craft: Stamped Circles Tree | Home Learning Art & Craft Project Activity

In this post, I will be sharing a "tree" craft. This was a craft art project that Lauren did in Brightly Beaming Resources' (Step 3: Sound of the Week) homeschool curriculum for the "ee" sound as in "tree", Click Here To Find Out Why We Are Doing Homeschooling.

I thought about doing a tree by putting the mouth of a small bottle into a stamp pad then stamping the ink all over the trunk branches to create circles of leaves making up a whole tree.

READY FOR KID BEFORE STARTING ACTIVITY ALONG WITH OTHER MATERIALS

* cut trunk pattern

* cut background pieces pattern (eg. sun, cloud, etc.)

DONE BY ADULT OR PARENT:

TRUNK: Take brown construction paper and draw trunk pattern on it or you may use a "trunk template", Print a "small tree trunk with roots" template on a brown construction paper, Click Here To Check Out FREE Printable Tree Trunk Templates. Cut template.

BACKGROUND PIECES: Get creative with any background of your choice aside from what is shown. Add details such as mountain and sun using any round objects, print directly or trace patterns (such as clouds, flowers, grass, birds, etc.) on a construction paper of choice. Scale the size of bigger templates in the printing settings to make them smaller and fit into your background. Check out the links below for some FREE printables!

* FREE Printable Bird Templates from Clipart Library

DONE BY CHILD

* cut background patterns

* glue trunk on paper

* stamp circles on paper

* color stamped circles

STEPS IN DOING THIS TREE CRAFT

STEP #1: Let child glue background pieces that should be glued before the trunk on a construction paper. Next, let child glue trunk on paper.

STEP #2: Next, let child lightly press mouth of a bottle onto a stamp pad then let child stamp circles all around branches of trunk. Repeat the process until there are enough circles all over the trunk branches completing the whole tree. Let ink dry up.

STEP #3: When the ink has dried up, let child color inside the circles using crayons or oil pastel colors. After coloring, let child glue other background details they like such as clouds, sun, grass, etc.

And your "stamped circles tree" is DONE. Below is Lauren's version of this tree craft, get creative with your own version today!

LEARNING IS MORE FUN WITH A SONG

A great classic song about trees that you can sing along or watch with your kids is this song "Pretty Dancing Trees" with nice tune and lyrics about the beauty of trees as they dance and sway with the breeze.
