Ocean Craft: Paper Seashells | Home Learning Art & Craft Project Activity
In this post, I will be sharing a "sea shell" craft. This was a craft project that Lauren did in Brightly Beaming Resources' (Step 3: Sound of the Week) homeschool curriculum for the "sh" sound as in "shell", Click Here To Find Out Why We Are Doing Homeschooling.
I thought about ways on how to create our seashell and come up with this colorful paper seashell craft by using crayons on the details and edges then painting the insides with watercolors.

DONE BY PARENTS
* SEASHELLS: Download any seashell outline of choice, you may allow the child in the decision making. Print chosen seashell on a bond paper, cut and trace on any pastel colored heavy weight paper (such as cardstock, specialty board, vellum board, etc.). STEPS IN DOING THIS SEA SHELL CRAFT
STEP #1: Let child draw details on blank traced seashell outlines (they can copy the details from the downloaded seashell illustrations) then trace the drawn pencil details as well as edges of the whole seashell with a crayon in any color of choice.
STEP #2: Next, let child paint the paper shells with watercolor in any shade or color of their choice.
STEP #3: Once the painted pieces are dry, let child re-trace the edges and paper shell details with crayons to make them vivid and stand out.
