Christmas is coming, I thought about DIY gifts for the kids and this time I wanted to put the treats or little gifts using a popcorn box. I made mine using a pop corn box template, you can do your own box using a template or you can buy some ready made pop corn boxes in Christmas colors and decorate them with Christmas characters or things of your choice then fill the boxes with treats or some little toys for the kids.

I made these as Christmas treats for Lauren and my 2 nieces. In this post, I'll be sharing ways how you can make your popcorn box treats holder fast and easy. These are good to make for kids or everyone in your own family.
For my boxes, I use these red and green paper that is labeled as "border paper", it is a thick paper that is somewhat glossy in appearance and texture (as seen in the image below). This paper is plain white at the back. Aside from this type of paper, it's also good to use any heavy weight paper or pattern paper in Christmas colors.
Spice up your pop corn boxes with these FREE printable "Christmas Digital Papers" in shades of red & green patterns by checking out the links below. Simply print them on a white heavy weight paper (specialty board, vellum board or any paper with a similar texture), extract any pattern you like to use for your DIY pop corn boxes into a folder in your computer, locate and double click on the pattern image to view them in picture viewer.
In the picture viewer, click on the "printer" icon, in the print dialog box select the following settings: PAPER SIZE - Letter "8.5 x 11", PHOTO SIZE - "full page" and FIT - "fill page" next click on "print". After printing the pattern paper, print the blank pop corn box "cut-fold" guide template onto it from the back side of the pattern paper. Below is a sample of the pop corn box template printed on these digital papers. Check out the next content below for the pop corn box template link.
CREATING THE BOXES + LINK TO FREE PRINTABLE TEMPLATE
This template makes a larger pop corn box as compare to other templates with the whole box pattern in one page, we need to print 2 copies of the template and glue or tape them together to create 1 large pop corn box. You can also choose the top pattern of your boxes (straight cut or wavy) or get creative with it anyway you like. I made some "v" cut in between the wave patterns of my boxes.
Instead of glue, I used scotch tape in connecting the templates together, this way the outcome is more secure. You can be sure that it won't have a chance of detaching from each other because they are totally sealed by the scotch tape.
DECORATING THE POP CORN BOXES + LINKS TO FREE PRINTABLES
For the designs around my boxes, I have Christmas characters and some Christmas stuff, I alternately stick Christmas characters and Christmas stuff on all sides of my boxes but you can decorate yours the way you want it, whether you want to decorate all with Christmas characters or Christmas stuff.
Here, I have put together a set of Christmas characters and stuff that you can print and stick immediately to your pop corn boxes. Just print them on a sticker paper or if you don't have sticker paper, on a bond paper and glue on your box using dry glue stick. Check out the links below for these printables. Make sure the settings are as follows before printing: PAPER SIZE - "A4" , SCALE (%) - "Fit To Printable Area" or scale at "94".
