Christmas season is here. In this post, I'm going to share an easy Christmas decoration using any empty bottle, you can use either empty glass or plastic bottles. I made this cute Christmas snow man decoration using a large empty plastic cola bottle, some old fabric as its hat and unused socks to cover the bottle and as the snow man's scarf.

Try creating a variety of snow man (big or small, thin or stout) using any shape or size of empty bottles you have stored and kept around. Perfect for a "Winter Wonderland" theme Christmas!
This is a simple DIY using mostly recycled materials you have or kept around the house such as empty plastic or glass bottles, old or unused white, printed or colored socks, spare or unused fabrics and some beads or buttons. There is no need to paint the bottle to create this snow man, just cover the whole bottle with a white sock then tie the ends with a rubber band or string.
Add some sand or small pebbles inside your bottle before wrapping it with sock, especially if you are using a plastic bottle and will decorate your snowman outdoors so they will have extra weight and to prevent them from falling down when being hit by wind.
STEPS IN CREATING AN EMPTY BOTTLE SNOWMAN
STEP #1: If you're using a plastic bottle, slice or cut the upper portion of the bottle using utility knife. Cover bottle with white sock then tie ends with rubber band or string.
STEP #2: Cover the tied ends of the socks by adding a Santa hat on it. Cut 2 pieces of plain red or patterned fabric in the shape of a triangle with size just enough to fit the top of the bottle you are using, glue the triangle pattern on both front side of the fabric together (back to back) using hot melt glue, make sure to leave a small hole at the top. Invert glued hat to reveal a Santa hat.
STEP #3: Take a 1 inch foam ball and wrap it with a spare white fabric tie the ends with a rubber band then insert and glue into the hole on top of the hat using hot melt glue. Cover tip of the hat by spreading liquid glue all around then glue some cotton all over it.
STEP #4: Next, tie any colored or printed sock or spare fabric in the middle of bottle to create the scarf of snow man, then glue buttons or beads below scarf using hot melt glue.
STEP #5: Trace a coin with size just enough as eyes of snowman on a black construction paper. Cut pattern. Glue the 2 black circles on bottle to create the eyes of snowman or you may use large black buttons and glue as eyes for your snow man.
STEP #6: Take an orange construction paper and trace a small round object on it such as mouth of a cup or lid of a jar. Cut pattern and roll to create a small cone. Cut extra edges to make tip of cone even. Glue the small cone below eyes using hot melt glue to create the snow man's nose.
STEP #7: Punch black construction papers using hole puncher. Glue the dots of black paper below nose to create snow man's mouth.
