Zombie Toss: Create A Plants VS Zombies Inspired Halloween Game + Links to FREE Printables!

This year, for some fun this Halloween season, I made this game that me and Lauren played inspired and involving characters from the popular tower defense game "Plants VS Zombies". I call this game "zombie toss", I use a small empty cardboard box to create a zombie head that will be used to toss onto the plant characters. I used small disposable cups as stand of the plant characters. The cups hold prizes inside them that anyone can get from knocking down any of the plant characters. Gingerbread Craft | Christmas Craft: Colorful & Fun Cardboard Gingerbread People + Link To FREE Resources | Home Learning Art & Craft Project Activity

In this post, I will be sharing a "gingerbread" craft. This was a craft project that Lauren did in Brightly Beaming Resources' (Step 3: Sound of the Week) home school curriculum for the soft "g" sound as in "ginger". The gingerbread boy & girl is done by tracing a gingerbread man pattern on a cardboard material from an empty box, then decorating them with clothes out of construction papers and Christmas wrapping papers or pattern papers.

STEPS IN DOING THIS GINGERBREAD CRAFT

STEP #1: First, if you are using a light colored cardboard such as the one we used, make it darker by letting child color the cardboard pattern with any shade of choice similar to an actual gingerbread using oil pastel color or crayon.

STEP #2: Next, let child glue the clothes on their gingerbread. They may use yarns, ribbon, string, sequins and some gem stickers to accessorize gingerbread clothes. Let child decorate clothes using any accessories of their choice.

STEP #3: Next, let child glue beads for the gingerbread eyes using hot glue. Put hot glue on the spot and guide child to glue bead or button on it. After the eyes, let child glue details on head such as yarn hair (cut strands of yarn for hair) then add a head or hair accessory such as a bow, hat or cap (whatever you prefer) using liquid glue.

STEP #4: Next, let child decorate with glitter glue on edges of gingerbread clothing such as sleeves or bottom of dress. Set aside for awhile for the colored or glitter glue to set and so as not to smudge it when doing the next step. When colored glue has set, let child create a gingerbread shoes using crayons then accessorize gingerbread feet with colored or glitter glue.

STEP #5: Finally, let child create a mouth for their gingerbreads using colored or glitter glue of their choice. Set aside and allow the mouth to completely set.

And there goes your "CARDBOARD GINGERBREAD CRAFT". Below are Lauren's version of doing this cardboard gingerbread people craft.
