STEPS IN DOING THIS GINGERBREAD CRAFT
STEP #1: First, if you are using a light colored cardboard such as the one we used, make it darker by letting child color the cardboard pattern with any shade of choice similar to an actual gingerbread using oil pastel color or crayon.
STEP #2: Next, let child glue the clothes on their gingerbread. They may use yarns, ribbon, string, sequins and some gem stickers to accessorize gingerbread clothes. Let child decorate clothes using any accessories of their choice.
STEP #3: Next, let child glue beads for the gingerbread eyes using hot glue. Put hot glue on the spot and guide child to glue bead or button on it. After the eyes, let child glue details on head such as yarn hair (cut strands of yarn for hair) then add a head or hair accessory such as a bow, hat or cap (whatever you prefer) using liquid glue.
STEP #4: Next, let child decorate with glitter glue on edges of gingerbread clothing such as sleeves or bottom of dress. Set aside for awhile for the colored or glitter glue to set and so as not to smudge it when doing the next step. When colored glue has set, let child create a gingerbread shoes using crayons then accessorize gingerbread feet with colored or glitter glue.
STEP #5: Finally, let child create a mouth for their gingerbreads using colored or glitter glue of their choice. Set aside and allow the mouth to completely set.
